Seven years after recording MIRACLE OF DOLPHINS for solo piano, Paul Lloyd Warner moved to California to begin the process of distributing his music. At a concert he gave in 1985 at a church in the city of Santa Cruz, he recored TO MAUI WITH LOVE. This is a technically difficult piece to play as it consists of multiple arpeggios colliding with each other at fantastic speed. It recalls the memory of those wonderful years the composer lived in Maui, the amazing events in his life and the crowing achievement of playing for Humpback Whales at sea. TO MAUI WITH LOVE is so beautiful, uplifting, evocative and special a composition. It is the perfect track to end a unique piano album and one that brings great joy and happiness.
